BugParcel

Privacy policy

Effective 27 October 2026 · applies to the BugParcel browser extension, version 0.1.0 and later.

Summary

BugParcel does not send any data anywhere. Everything it records stays in your browser on your computer until you delete it or download it yourself. There is no account, no analytics and no server.

What the extension processes

Only after you press Start recording, and only on that one tab, BugParcel records:

Text that looks like an e-mail address, token, key or password is replaced before anything is stored. Automatic redaction may miss some secrets, so you review everything before exporting.

Where it is stored

Recordings are kept in the extension’s local browser storage (IndexedDB) on your device. One setting (whether console capture is on) is kept in the extension’s local settings storage. Nothing is synced or transmitted. The extension contains no code that makes network requests.

Sharing

BugParcel never shares data. A report leaves your computer only if you download the ZIP and send it to someone yourself.

Deleting your data

Delete single recordings or all of them on the Review screen, or remove the extension — the browser then deletes all its stored data.

Permissions and why they are needed

Children

BugParcel is a developer tool and is not directed at children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be published on this page with a new effective date.
